On May 23rd, 2019 City Council voted unanimously to ask staff to prepare amendments to both the zoning bylaw and the Official Community Plan to limit the permissible uses at 950 Kings Road to a school, park, community centre, gymnasium or fitness centre, daycare centre, art school, cultural centre, community garden or library.

This is a huge victory following months of community engagement including a petition, a rally, and presentations by many community members at City Council meetings and a CRD Committee.
